First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of you reading this guide. I sincerely commend your courage and initiative in joining such a significant committee. Rest assured, you will not regret taking part in this enriching journey. Throughout my years participating in MUN, one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of self-confidence in the face of challenges. Believing in yourself, regardless of the circumstances, is a powerful tool that will guide you toward success. By choosing to participate, you are already standing out, you have chosen to raise your voice, embrace your individuality, and make a meaningful impact. That is what defines an exceptional delegate. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.” Let no one diminish your aspirations. Be the change you wish to see in the world. "Esteemed delegates,

I am very pleased that you have chosen DISEC for this edition of CERVMUN. It is truly an honor for me to preside over a committee that has been essential to my journey in MUN. When I first participated, I never imagined that one day I would have the privilege of chairing this amazing committee. DISEC has taught me so much, and I desire to share that knowledge with all of you. Since sixth grade, MUN has been a life-changing experience for me. Each conference has provided me with lots of knowledge and has helped me to develop my understanding of critical global issues and how the world actually works. It has allowed me to make friendships and know people that I admire and will always remain in my heart. Every conference has taught me something new and helped me grow, both as a delegate and as a person. Every MUN is a new opportunity to give our best, to push our limits, and to better understand ourselves. Over the next two days, you will have the opportunity to represent a nation and work toward building a better future for humanity. You will uphold the principles of diplomacy and contribute solutions that may one day improve our global society. For this reason, I encourage you to take full advantage of this experience. Take your country's role, deeply research, and give your very best during the debate. As your Chair, I am committed to hopefully exceeding your expectations. "Estimados congresistas,

Reciban un cordial saludo de parte de su Presidente y Co-Presidente a CERVMUN X. Les manifestamos nuestro más sincero sentimiento de orgullo al poder acompañarlos en este importante evento. La República de Colombia vive un momento crítico desde hace varios años, y no parecen existir indicios de mejoría. Este país no es únicamente de sus dirigentes, del presidente, de sus ministros, de los gobernadores, de los alcaldes, este país es de cada uno de nosotros, y servir a nuestro país va más allá de levantar las armas o brindar apoyo monetario. La verdadera manera de servir a nuestro país es brindando una mente abierta, una mente fresca, una mente joven, e ir inculcando las ideas que son producto de estas en cada uno de los aspectos que son menester para nuestra sociedad. Hoy los invito a que tomen estos conceptos y los lleven a su vida cotidiana, pues una mejor Colombia está en las manos de cada uno de nosotros. Este servicio del que estamos hablando empieza en espacios como CERVMUN X, donde hablamos y escuchamos, donde enseñamos y aprendemos, donde trabajamos y disfrutamos. Los invito también a que pierdan el miedo, a no dejarse llevar por lo que diga el otro, a romper con las llamadas “tradiciones” que muchas veces nos llevan a cortarnos las alas y a limitar nuestro potencial. Seamos diferentes, seamos el cambio, seamos lo que nuestro país necesita: jóvenes con mentes brillantes y abiertas que sean capaces de romper con el radicalismo y no caer en los juegos de influencia de los partidos políticos, jóvenes autónomos y responsables, que nunca nieguen una gota de sudor, una hora de su dia, o la disposición de su cerebro, mientras sea para el bien común. Todo empieza hoy, todo empieza por cada uno de nosotros, y no podemos defraudar a nuestro país, que tanto nos ha dado. No está de más decir, que de contar con cualquier inquietud o solicitud, pueden comunicarse con nosotros y haremos nuestro mayor esfuerzo para colaborarles."

It is my greatest pleasure to welcome all of you to the X version of Cervmun. My MUN journey began back in the fourth grade, and over the years, it has grown to become one of the most meaningful and transformative experiences in my life. MUN has not only sharpened my public speaking and critical thinking skills but has also enabled me to connect with incredible people, build lasting friendships, and create memories that I will cherish forever. It is through MUN that I discovered the power of diplomacy, the value of diverse perspectives, and the impact that young minds can have when given a platform to speak. As you prepare to enter the debate over the next few days, I encourage you to embrace every aspect of this experience. Speak fearlessly, question boldly, and collaborate with intent. Remember, MUN is not just about winning awards or delivering perfect speeches; it’s about the exchange of ideas, the passion for change, and the growth that comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone. Every committee session is a unique opportunity. No two models are ever the same, and that is entirely because of you, the delegates. Your creativity, your character, and your commitment are what breathe life into these simulations. So take full advantage of this experience. Live the moment. Engage fully. And don’t be afraid to take risks. It is a true privilege to be leading this committee, and I am here to ensure that each one of you feels heard, supported, and inspired. "Queridos delegados del Comité de la OEA,

Es un honor dirigirme a ustedes como Presidenta de este comité en el marco del CERVMUN X. La Organización de los Estados Americanos es mucho más que un organismo regional; es un espacio donde las voces del continente se encuentran para dialogar, construir puentes y defender los valores democráticos, los derechos humanos y la cooperación entre naciones hermanas. En esta simulación, cada uno de ustedes representa a un Estado miembro con sus intereses, retos y visiones. Pero más allá de eso, representan a una juventud consciente, crítica y comprometida con el presente y el futuro de nuestra región. Este comité es un escenario donde las ideas cobran vida, donde el debate se convierte en acción, y donde cada palabra tiene el poder de cambiar perspectivas. Como presidenta, tengo el firme compromiso de asegurar el cumplimiento del reglamento, velar por un ambiente de respeto e inclusión, y fomentar intervenciones profundas, informadas y diplomáticas. Quiero que vean este espacio como una oportunidad de crecimiento académico, pero también personal: un lugar donde puedan equivocarse sin miedo, aprender con entusiasmo y brillar con autenticidad. Si es tu primera vez en un modelo, quiero decirte que los nervios son normales. Cometer errores es parte del proceso. Lo importante es que confíes en ti y en tu voz. Si te sientes perdido, acércate a mí: estaré aquí para guiarte, ayudarte o simplemente escucharte. Es un honor dirigirnos a ustedes como Presidentes de la Convención Nacional Bipartidista. Será un espacio que tiene como propósito fomentar el diálogo, la diplomacia y el pensamiento crítico entre jóvenes comprometidos con los desafíos nacionales. En este encuentro, cada uno de ustedes representa no solo a una persona o una organización, sino también a una generación que exige cambios reales, propuestas viables y acciones responsables. Este comité es más que una simulación: es un laboratorio de ideas donde se ensayan las decisiones que algún día transformarán el mundo. Nosotras como líderes y organizadoras de este debate, tenemos como compromiso garantizar el respeto por el reglamento, promover un ambiente de inclusión y facilitar el desarrollo de debates constructivos. Queremos que este sea un espacio de crecimiento académico, personal y humano para todos y todas. Lo más esencial durante el periodo de días que se estará debatiendo, es la confianza en ustedes mismos. Si es tu primera vez, no importa si te equivocas al decir algo, o te confundes al hablar, estos errores son los que te irán haciendo entrar en confianza, logrando así que hagas intervenciones significativas. Para nosotros es un honor darles la bienvenida a este espacio que ha sido creado con el propósito de abrir puertas al pensamiento, al diálogo respetuoso y al ejercicio libre de la razón. Este foro no es solo un encuentro académico: es una invitación a cuestionar, a argumentar, a escuchar con atención y a hablar con fundamento. Es un lugar donde cada voz cuenta, cada idea tiene valor y cada duda puede convertirse en el inicio de un nuevo camino intelectual.
